Nvidia's Supercomputer In Roborace Cars
04/04/2016 13:48
Racing cars robots will use Nvidia's Drive PX 2 supercomputer presented at CES.
These days, presented the design of autonomous race car that will be the end of the year to find the first races Roborace robot.
Now Listed and Nvidia, whose boss (CEO) Jen-Hsun Huang at the GPU Technology Conference in San Jose, said that Roborace cars to be driven to their Drive PX 2 water-cooled supercomputer, presented at this year's CES, which includes dual Nvidia Tegra X1 processors, which together can deliver 2.3 teraflops of computing power.

The supercomputer which they say is the size of "lunch boxes" will have the interface for connection of up to 12 cameras, radar, lidar, GPS, ultrasonic and other sensors for navigation and mapping, and will use GPUs to help cars learning the world around system "deep learning", which means that the robots every race be better drivers.
As we have already discussed in relation Roborace competition, all cars will have the same design, the electric motor, and a computer and sensor system, which means that the 10 teams that will participate in the races have to just try to make the best possible artificial intelligence algorithms for them .
